THE ATHLETE BUILDER SCORECARD™

Powered by the INCHES system — the complete reading on an athlete

Three things before you start. First — like a company's quarterly financials, this score is a snapshot in time. It's your score today, and only today. Second — tomorrow it can change, fast. Telling your Teammates your Why tomorrow takes that score from 0 on up. Third — your trend over time matters more than any single score. Increase your averages every quarter. That's the game.

The most important sentence on this page: the WIN is effort + process = growth. The true winner strives relentlessly to build the best version of himself — regardless of results. Results lag process. Chase the process and the results chase you.

Take your Scorecard quarterly — alone or with a Teammate, ally, mentor, or coach. Be honest: an inflated score only cheats you. Don't understand a concept yet? Keep reading the book, learn it, retake it.

Who's Taking This

So your results reach you — and so a coach running a full team can see the whole roster.

Use an email you actually check — a copy of your Assessment results will be sent there.

How Scoring Works

Two scoreboards, kept separate on purpose. Your PROCESS SCORE — the six Inch Blocks. What you control. THE score. And your RESULTS SNAPSHOT — wins, accolades, depth chart. It lags your process, sometimes by seasons. Young or early? It'll be low by definition — that's not a problem. Watch it chase your Process Score up.

Each block ends with The Four: your Weapon, your Limiting Factor, your Move, and the Price. Type them out. If you can't write it, you don't know it yet — and now you know what to work on.

Your Support System — All Six Blocks

Nobody builds a champion alone. Score every cell — each Block's three cells count in that Block's average.

Mentor: 10 = have one, connect weekly · 8 = monthly · 5 = quarterly · 0 = none.   Ally: 10 = review results weekly, enforce a carrot/stick, adjust · 7 = monthly, sometimes enforce · 4 = quarterly · 0 = none.   Kaizen: 10 = improvement process, adhere without fail · 8 = mostly · 5 = occasionally · 0 = none.

Results Snapshot — Kept Separate On Purpose

What the scoreboard says — last season / last three months. NOT part of your Process Score. Complete it anyway, every quarter.

What your Process Score means

Pretender is a mode, not a person. Anyone in pretender mode can exit it today — by taking one step forward. That's the whole exit.

0–3 — Pretender mode. Decision time. Commit and take one step forward today — that's the exit.
5 — Minimum. Gets you 50% of the way. Is anyone going far on half-way?
6 — College Scholarship band. Roughly 7% of high school football players play at any college level.
7 — College starter. Period.
8 — College All-American. Talent alone rarely carries anyone here. Work instead.
9 — Pro. ~0.126% of high school players. Legit.
10 — The Statue. Canton. Fractions of a fraction of a percent. This system is called INCHES for a reason.
Wherever you land today: the WIN is effort + process = growth. Move the trend. Every quarter. Relentlessly.
Keep stacking wins. Win the Day. Stay Relentless.
