Bring the Six Blocks to Your Room

Jim Beebe speaks to teams, schools, conferences and companies about building champions across six blocks. Author of Athlete Builder, host of a podcast with 150+ episodes, 13 years owning a facility. What Jim Speaks About

Every talk comes from the same place: 13 years on a gym floor building athletes, and a first career in finance that taught him how to measure anything. He does not do motivation for its own sake. He gives a room a framework it can run on Monday, with the stories that make it stick, the athlete who quit at the wall, the one who did not, and the difference between them.

Building the Complete Athlete

Six blocks, and why most programs coach one. The talk for teams, athletic departments and parent nights that want a system instead of a pep talk.

Mental Toughness Is a Skill

Why, Core Values, identity, and what actually happens when the brain asks you to quit. For athletes, and for the adults who lead them every day.

The Rebuild at Fifty

Rock bottom in his late thirties, a gym at forty, and teaching himself to swim at fifty to cross the Hudson in a 9/11 tribute. The talk for leadership rooms and companies.

What Sports Parents Are Paying For

Exposure versus development, what the recruiting path actually looks like, and how to tell if your athlete is being built or just kept busy. For parent nights and booster clubs.

Three Ways to Bring Him In

The format follows the room. A conference wants a keynote that lands in forty-five minutes. A facility wants a clinic where coaches leave with something they can run. A team wants Jim in the locker room, talking to the athletes directly, no slides. Tell us which one you are, or just describe the room and the outcome you want, and let him recommend the format.

All of this coverage was written while Jim owned and operated Unbreakable Athletics Academy, the private strength and performance facility he ran in Plainfield, Indiana from 2013 until he sold it in 2026. The gym is where the system was built. Athlete Builder is where it lives now.

The Keynote

Forty-five to sixty minutes, one framework, the stories that carry it. Built for conferences, banquets, leadership institutes and company events. Q&A if the schedule allows.

The Clinic

Half a day or a full day with coaches and staff. Hands-on, worksheet-driven, built so the room leaves with a system it can run the next week, not a notebook.

The Team Session

Jim with the athletes, in their space. Direct, unscripted, and built around the block that team is weakest in. Coaches welcome in the room; parents get a separate night.

Who Is Usually in the Room

Athletic directors and their coaching staffs. High school and club teams, sometimes with parents in the back row. Facility owners and their trainers. Leadership groups, fraternity chapter presidents, service clubs, company teams, who came for the finance-to-gym story and stayed for the six blocks. Recent and upcoming rooms include a Big Ten wrestling program, a Kiwanis club, and a national fraternity leadership institute.

Two Tabs

Two athletes I trained went into the Army. Both earned the Ranger tab.

Coy Anderson came to me at sixteen. In 2018, before he shipped out, we ran him through one night designed with the help of two special operations veterans, 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., three coaches in shifts, one athlete. He earned his Ranger tab and served with the 75th Ranger Regiment. In 2022 his squad won the Army's inaugural Best Squad Competition. In 2024 he finished 5th overall at the Best Ranger Competition. He has since retired from the Army.

Timothy G. I coached remotely while he was at West Point. He graduated Ranger School in 2026.

I don't claim credit for what either man did. They did it. But the night before Coy left, and the sessions Timmy did alone two states away, that part I was there for.

What a Room Walks Out With

A framework they can name. Six blocks, in order, and a way to tell which one is weakest, for an athlete, a team, or a business. Every audience also leaves with the free Athlete Builder Scorecard, so the talk keeps working after Jim leaves the building. Athletic directors get a coach conversation to have Monday. Parents get better questions. Companies get a story about rebuilding at fifty that does not sound like a poster.

What Event Organizers Ask

Coverage shows the argument. The Scorecard shows what it means for your athlete.

What does a session cost?

It depends on the room, and it is a conversation, not a rate card. A forty-five-minute keynote at a conference and a full day with a coaching staff are different engagements. Submit the inquiry with your date, your audience and the format you have in mind, and Jim will come back with a number that fits it.

How far will Jim travel?

Anywhere in the United States. He is based in central Indiana and drives most of the Midwest; beyond that he flies. Outside the country is a conversation, ask. Travel is handled simply and agreed before anything is booked, so there are no surprises on either side.

Put the Six Blocks in Front of Your Room

Tell us the date, the room and what you want them to leave with. Jim will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.
